Live Burn Drill Strengthens Skills and Regional Partnerships
For drill on Tuesday night several of our firefighters participated in a “Live Burn” with other firefighters from Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company and Harleysville Community Fire Company. The purpose of the drill was to provide a real life scenario where our firefighters could sharpen their skills on fire suppression, search & rescue, ventilation, throwing ground ladders, radio communications, use of a thermal imaging camera, and monitoring air levels in their SCBA. It was a great opportunity to work with our neighboring fire companies as many times we are called to the same incident. A special thanks to the Skippack Fire Company for the use of their burn building.
