Honoring Our Heroes: National First Responders Day at Telford Fire Company
Today, October 28th, we proudly recognize National First Responders Day—a day dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. At Telford Fire Company, we are humbled to stand among the ranks of these everyday heroes and grateful for the opportunity to serve.
First Responders include firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, and other emergency personnel who respond swiftly and selflessly in times of crisis. Whether it’s a structure fire, a medical emergency, a vehicle accident, or a natural disaster, these individuals are the first on the scene, often risking their own safety to protect others.
As a volunteer fire company, we know firsthand the dedication it takes to answer the call—day or night, rain or shine. Our members train tirelessly, respond without hesitation, and support one another like family. Today, we not only celebrate our own team but also extend our deepest appreciation to all First Responders across the region and the nation.
We invite our community to take a moment today to thank a First Responder. A simple gesture—a handshake, a kind word, or even a heartfelt message—can mean the world to those who serve.
To our fellow firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and dispatchers: thank you for your courage, your commitment, and your sacrifice. You are the backbone of public safety, and your work does not go unnoticed.
From all of us at Telford Fire Company, Happy National First Responders Day. Stay safe, stay strong, and know that your community stands with you.
