RE POLICE REQUIREMENTS
Courses
Basic Fire Police
Requirements
Must be 18 years old at the time of completion of an application. Background check required. Must be sworn in by TELFORD BOROUGH.
Description of Duties
Fire Police officers assist the fire companies by providing traffic control at the scene of an emergency. Fire Police Officers may be called out when firefighters are not.
JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER REQUIREMENTS

None
Requirements
Must be at LEAST 16 years old at the time completion of an application for membership, Background check required
Description of Duties
Junior Firefighters have restricted abilities. Their goal is to assist Firefighters in their duties. Restrictions include exterior firefighting only, no attending calls of other stations, no attendance of hazmat situations, no use power tools, and no extinguishing of car fires.
FIREFIGHTER REQUIREMENTS
Courses
Firefighter 1/Hazmat Operations and Awareness (Must be completed within one year of active membership)
Requirements
Must be 18 years old at the time of completion of an application for membership. Background check required.
Description of Duties
Firefighters have a variety of jobs such as manning attack lines, water supply, Hazmat operations, car accidents, medical incidents, etc.

Applicant MUST live in or work in the coverage area of the TELFORD VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY, if you are not sure if you live within our coverage zone please contact us.
Applicant MUST consent to a background check, and an investigation committee will evaluate his/her application and background information.
We are ALWAYS looking for new members to join our fire company! It takes a team to get the job done. As a volunteer fire company we are always ready to respond to any kind of incident, not just fires! We protect the community in which we live in and do our best to make it a safer place to live.
