The Telford Fire Company recently gathered for our Annual Banquet, a special evening dedicated to recognizing the dedication, service, and accomplishments of our members over the past year. The banquet provided an opportunity to celebrate those who go above and beyond in serving our community while also reflecting on the strength and commitment of our organization.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Tylersport Fire Company for providing the event space and to Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company for covering our local response area while our members attended the banquet.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of our annual awards.
Mac Jacobs Award
The Mac Jacobs Award was presented to Corey Landes. Corey joined the department in July 2016 as a member of our Fire Police division. Over the years, he has served as Fire Police, Fire Police Lieutenant, and currently serves as Captain of the Fire Police. Corey remains active in responding to emergencies and continues to be a tremendous asset to the Telford Fire Company. His dedication and leadership make him a deserving recipient of this year’s award.
Firefighter of the Year
The Firefighter of the Year Award was presented to Carl Renner. Since joining the department in November 2021, Carl has earned certifications as a Firefighter, EMT, Vehicle Rescue Technician, Swift Water Rescue Technician, and numerous other certifications. Carl is highly active in emergency responses, training activities, and currently serves as a Trustee of the department. His commitment to excellence and service has made a significant impact on our company and community.
Years of Service Recognition We were also proud to recognize members celebrating milestones in their service to the department:
- Brett Thomas – 10 Years of Service
- Justin Thomas – 10 Years of Service
- JT Karaban – 10 Years of Service
- Nate Landes – 10 Years of Service
Special Recognition
The evening also included the presentation of a donation from the Telford Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, presented by Laurel H., whose continued support of our organization is greatly appreciated.
Additionally, we celebrated Jerry’s birthday and took time to honor those who have gone before us with a meaningful memorial message from our Chaplain, reminding us of the importance of brotherhood, service, and remembrance within the fire service.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients and service award honorees. Thank you to every member, family member, volunteer, and supporter who helps make Telford Fire Company successful. Your dedication ensures we remain ready to serve our community whenever needed.
