Penn Valley Gas Heritage

In 1957, Ken and Ruth Balmer began with one delivery truck, several small routes and an office in their home. Their goal was to treat their customers the way they wanted to be treated. By the early 1990’s, Penn Valley was being led by the second generation, the Balmers’ three sons: Dan, Dale and Dwane. In 2002, Josh, the first of the third generation came to work in the family business. Since 1957, Penn Valley has grown to be recognized as the premier supplier of propane to new homes as well as a reliable wholesale and transportation provider for businesses across the Tri-State region.

As they look back on their heritage, they thank the Lord for over 60 years of trusted relationships with coworkers, families, customers and friends. Together with their team of dedicated coworkers, they look forward to many more years of faithfully meeting their customers’ energy needs with excellence.
