Earlier this week, the station phone rang — and Fire Police Officer Jeff picked it up expecting the usual calls…
Instead, he heard a deep, cheerful voice:
“HO HO HO! Good afternoon, Telford Fire Company!”
Jeff froze. “S–Santa??”
“Indeed it is!” Santa laughed.
Then he got right to business — official Christmas business.
Santa explained that he’s been going over his December travel schedule, and when he reached “T for Telford,” he wanted to lock in the date and time to ride through town on one of our very own fire trucks.
“The reindeer are resting up for Christmas Eve,” Santa said.
“So I’m counting on my friends in Telford to help me spread some early holiday cheer!”
He even asked if the members could shine up the engine for him, check the lights, check the sirens, and “make it sparkle enough for everyone to see me coming!”
Of course, our team said YES, and Santa was thrilled.
“Wonderful! I’ll see the great people of Telford on December 20th at 2 PM.
And I can’t wait to wave to everyone as we roll through town! HO HO HO!”
As soon as the call ended, preparations instantly began — polishing, decorating, planning the route, and making sure Santa’s ride will be nothing short of magical.
