Tuesday evening, members of the Telford Fire Co conducted our weekly training night with topics such as hydrants and ladders. Our resident state instructor Assistant Chief, Robert Sparks reviewed the establishment of water supply, and how we at Telford Fire Co conduct such an operation. Additionally, members went over the use of “creeper controls” on our ladder truck. The controls are located at the tip of the ladder itself and allows for a firefighter at the tip to control the ladder, rather than at the bottom on the turn table.

These basic trainings are conducted regularly to allow our members to sharpen their skills with using such systems. It also provides an opportunity for any newer members we have the ability to become familiar.

Any interest in being a volunteer at Telford Fire Co? Please don’t hesitate. Our applications are located on our website under join tab on the main screen. You can also stop in at our station Tuesday nights between 6PM and 7PM.
