Squad 75 – Multi-Purpose Rescue Engine
Squad 75 is a versatile rescue engine acquired by the Telford Fire Company in November 2013 from the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company. After undergoing minor modifications and training familiarization, the unit was officially placed into service in Telford on December 14, 2013.

This apparatus features a spacious 8-person cab, allowing for a full crew response to a variety of incidents. It is equipped with a 2,000 GPM pump and carries 700 gallons of water. The unit is also fitted with a Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) and a 40-gallon Class A foam cell, enhancing its firefighting capability—especially in rural or low-hydrant areas.

Squad 75 is equipped with a robust hose load, including:

  • 1,200 feet of 5-inch supply line

  • 300 feet of 3-inch supply line

  • (2) preconnected 200-foot 1¾-inch attack lines

  • (1) preconnected 200-foot 2½-inch attack line

  • (1) preconnected 300-foot 3-inch line with a 500 GPM portable blitz monitor

For scene support and rescue operations, the unit is powered by a 20 kW generator and includes utility air. It carries a full complement of Holmatro hydraulic rescue tools, including spreaders, cutters, and a ram, ideal for vehicle extrications and technical rescues. Additionally, the truck is equipped with 57-ton high-pressure lifting bags, an assortment of power saws and ventilation fans, a variety of hand tools, ground ladders, and wildland/forestry firefighting tools.

Squad 75 serves as a key multi-role apparatus in the Telford fleet, capable of functioning as both an engine company and a rescue unit. Whether responding to structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, or technical rescues, Squad 75 brings the personnel, water, tools, and power needed to handle the job.
