This past weekend members of Telford Fire Company recently participated in a flashover simulation drill, giving our firefighters the opportunity to experience extreme fire conditions in a controlled training environment.
Flashover is one of the most dangerous situations firefighters can encounter. This hands-on training allows members to observe fire behavior, recognize the warning signs of rapidly changing conditions, and practice techniques that can help keep crews safe while operating inside a structure fire.
Training like this is invaluable. The more our firefighters learn and experience in a controlled setting, the better prepared they are when the tones drop and our community needs us.
