Last week, the Telford Volunteer Fire Company proudly celebrated the completion of our 10th Annual Cadet Program, marking a decade of inspiring and educating the next generation of firefighters.

Throughout the week, our cadets gained hands-on experience with firefighting equipment, search and rescue techniques, teamwork, leadership, and the dedication it takes to serve their community. They challenged themselves, built confidence, learned valuable life skills, and formed friendships that will last well beyond the program.

We wrapped up the week with a mini graduation ceremony, where family, friends, and members of the department gathered to celebrate our cadets’ hard work and accomplishments. It was a great way to recognize the dedication each cadet showed throughout the week and celebrate everything they achieved.

Over the past 10 years, we have been fortunate to see many of our cadets go on to join the fire service, and we’ve also been excited to welcome returning cadets who continue to build on their knowledge year after year. Watching these young men and women grow into confident leaders and future firefighters is what makes this program so rewarding.

A special thank you to Firefighter Allen Boyer, whose dedication, leadership, and countless hours of hard work have been instrumental in making this program a success year after year. Your commitment to mentoring and investing in our youth has made a lasting impact on so many cadets, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Perseverance Fire Company for taking the time to assist with our Cadet Program. Your support, knowledge, and willingness to help made this year’s program even more successful, and we truly appreciate your partnership.

Thank you as well to all of our instructors, firefighters, volunteers, and supporters who dedicated their time to making this milestone year possible. Your commitment to mentoring the next generation is what keeps the fire service strong.
